Birinderpal Singh Brar advises on real estate, commercial leasing, private mortgages and franchising. Between them that covers most of what a family or a business in Mississauga needs a lawyer for.
Faria Khan runs the office Administration. Shabnam Hamkar is our law clerk and business manager. If you are telephoning about an appointment, a document, or where your file stands, one of them is who you will speak to and in practice you will deal with them considerably more often than with either lawyer, which is how it works at any firm and is rarely said out loud.

Junaid Kayani
Principal Counsel & Founder
He founded the firm and still takes files personally across most of its practice areas including advice and strategy consultation with other associates.
His work covers family law (separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, support and property division), along with corporate and commercial matters, civil litigation, immigration, wills and estates, and applications in the Federal Court of Canada.
Forty years of general practice in one city provides insight that extends far beyond the law itself. The depth of local knowledge earned through decades of firsthand experience cannot be learned from a textbook, and it enables clients to receive advice that is not only legally sound, but also strategic, realistic, and informed by how the system works in practice.

Faria Khan
Office Manager
Faria graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in political science and has been with the firm for over 25 years. She manages the office and looks after the firm’s marketing, recruitment, and training.
After so many years at a small firm, there isn’t much she hasn’t seen. She usually knows where a file stands, what still needs to be done, and who needs to sign what. She’s often the person who brings everything together behind the scenes, helping keep things on track for both the team and its clients.
Shabnam Hamkar
Law Clerk & Business Manager
Shabnam is our law clerk and business manager, helping keep files moving and transactions on track. She prepares and reviews documents, coordinates searches and filings, manages deadlines, and stays in touch with opposing counsel to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Resourceful and unfailingly good-natured, she brings a steady hand to the details that keep things running smoothly. It’s a quality clients and colleagues alike appreciate.
